Gold Coin Indonesia exports animal feed to Timor Leste

Gold Coin Indonesia, a subsidiary of the Philippines’ Aboitiz Foods, recently exported swine and poultry feeds to Timor Leste.

The feeds are specifically formulated to meet the nutritional needs of local swine and poultry there and comply with the country’s regulatory requirements.

Distribution of the feeds in the destination country will be carried out through two local trading partners.

According to the company, the shipment marked an important step forward in its ongoing efforts to serve more communities across the region with quality animal feed and reliable technical support.

Initial discussions with partners in Timor Leste began in late 2024, paving the way for the first shipment to reach the city of Dili.

Besides supplying feed, Gold Coin will conduct quarterly seminars in collaboration with the Market Development Facility (MDF), an Australian government-funded initiative that promotes sustainable economic development across the Indo-Pacific.

These sessions aim to provide technical support and share best practices with local farmers and producers in Timor Leste.

“This expansion into Timor Leste reflects our steady commitment to nourishing growth across Asia,” said Siow Wee Lee, First Vice President & Country Director of Gold Coin Indonesia.

“We see this as a meaningful opportunity to support local agricultural development by sharing both quality nutrition and technical expertise. Our team is focused on building partnerships that can grow sustainably over time.”

Regional growth

This milestone reinforces Gold Coin’s partnership-driven approach to regional growth—anchored in deep market understanding and on-ground support.

Gold Coin Malaysia also contributes to this broader effort, exporting aquafeed to the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia and Oman, as well as to other Asian countries such as Sri Lanka, Brunei, and Singapore.

This move contributes to Aboitiz Foods’ broader purpose of sustainably feeding Asia’s growth from mill to meal. Through expansions like this, the group brings its vision to life: supporting farmers, strengthening food systems, and creating long-term value for communities across the region.
