Thailand’s Betagro Public Co Ltd has introduced its Perfecta Veterinary Diet range, designed to address food allergies in dogs. The launch underscores the country’s growing role in advancing pet health innovation to international standards.
The line includes two specialized formulas: Anallergenic and Hypoallergenic, both developed in collaboration with veterinarians from a leading university. These diets are the first of their kind in Southeast Asia, offering targeted solutions for dogs suffering from allergic reactions.
Advanced formulations reduce allergy symptoms
Both formulas use extensively hydrolyzed protein molecules that are too small to be detected by the immune system. This reduces or eliminates symptoms such as itching, skin infections, vomiting, and diarrhea.
The diets are also free from gluten, corn, and wheat. They are enriched with Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, antioxidants, and prebiotics to support healthy skin, coat, and gastrointestinal function.
The Anallergenic formula is tailored for severe food allergies, with proteins hydrolyzed to less than 1000 Daltons. The Hypoallergenic formula uses proteins smaller than 5000 Daltons, suitable for dogs with milder sensitivities.
Rigorous production ensures quality and safety
Somcharn Suphapitiporn, COO of Betagro’s Pet Business, emphasized the complexity of the formulation process. Each stage involves strict raw material selection, precise hydrolysis, carbohydrate limitation, and thorough line cleansing to prevent contamination.
Every production lot undergoes random nutritional analysis and laboratory testing to guarantee accuracy, quality, and safety. This meticulous approach ensures that the diets meet the highest standards of therapeutic nutrition.
Distribution through veterinary channels
Perfecta Veterinary Diet Anallergenic and Hypoallergenic formulas require veterinarian recommendation. They are available through pet hospitals, veterinary clinics, and authorized distributors.
Betagro’s broader pet portfolio includes brands such as DOG n joy, CAT n joy, and BingoStar, distributed via retail stores, clinics, modern trade outlets, and online platforms. The company continues to expand its offerings to meet diverse pet owner needs across the region.
