A Look into the Upcoming 10th Revised Edition of the Nutrient Requirements of Poultry

“It’s been a long process,” Dr. Oviedo shared. “The genetic advancements over the past 12–14 years have significantly altered nutrient metabolism in poultry. This has necessitated new standards to ensure optimal nutrition in today’s poultry industry.”
The final report of the updated edition was expected to be available between March and May 2025. In the meantime, Dr. Oviedo encouraged readers to stay tuned for an in-depth analysis from NutriNews International once the report was published. This analysis would mirror the detailed coverage provided for the Brazilian Tables of Nutrient Requirements, which were released in early 2024.
Dr. Oviedo further emphasized the collaborative efforts of scientists over the past decade, who worked tirelessly to review current literature and provide the industry with updated, evidence-based recommendations.
