Vietnam-based livestock integrator Mavin Group recently welcomed more than 30 international investors to visit the Mavin Austfeed Dong Thap Feed Mill, located in the Cai Tau Ha Industrial Cluster, Chau Thanh district in Dong Thap province.
The visit was part of the Mekong Delta Investment and Trade Discovery Tour 2025 (MIDT), organized by AusCham Vietnam in cooperation with the Australian Government and various partners.
The MIDT program is an initiative aimed at promoting foreign direct investment (FDI) from Australia into the Mekong Delta – a region identified with strong potential in agriculture, green industry, and renewable energy.
The investors’ visit to Mavin’s facility in Dong Thap was one of the key activities under the green manufacturing sector – one of the three focal areas of investment promotion in this year’s program.
During the visit, investors had the opportunity to tour the factory and directly experience Mavin Dong Thap’s modern and environmentally friendly production technology, which complies with the European GMP Plus standards.
On behalf of Mavin, David John Whitehead, Mavin’s Chairman, shared the group’s formation and development journey as one of the largest Australian FDI enterprises operating in the Mekong Delta.
Through its integrated value chain model ‘From Farm to Table’ (Feed – Farm – Food), Mavin has established itself as a pioneer in modern agri-food production and a successful example of Australian investment in Vietnam.
The investors expressed keen interest and appreciation for the scale and green, clean technology applied at Mavin Dong Thap. During the discussion session, many questions related to the investment environment in the Mekong Delta, potential for attracting young talent, and opportunities for Australian investors in Vietnam were addressed thoroughly by Mavin representatives.
As a strategic partner of AusCham Vietnam in the MIDT 2025 program, Mavin not only demonstrates its commitment to contributing to the region’s green growth but also actively serves as a bridge connecting international investors with Vietnam’s business environment – especially in the fields of high-tech agriculture and sustainable production.
Mavin believes that the connection between well-established investors like itself and the international investment community will create strong momentum for the Mekong Delta’s economic development toward a modern, green, and sustainable future.
