Grobest Vietnam, a subsidiary of Taiwan’s aquafeed producer Grobest Group, has upgraded its shrimp feeds in Vietnam to support farmers in the country more confidently conquer the international market.
The country’s shrimp industry is facing pressure from tariffs and international competition. As such, farmers need advanced nutritional solutions for their shrimp to meet export standards and optimize costs.
The volatile market forces farmers to adopt innovative solutions. Shortening the farming cycle and accelerating shrimp growth to market size has become a strategic priority.
Meanwhile, major markets are tightening technical standards, prioritizing certified products such as ASC and BAP, traceability, and reduced environmental impact.
The upgrades
Grobest Vietnam stated that it will proactively upgrade its entire product range. Core product lines such as Lead, Nice, Vannamei and Eco, which have been improved, have demonstrated superior performance in actual farming operations.
With technical support from Grobest and the trio of Gold Shield, Super Shield and Lead, the shrimp harvest at Luu Chi Cong’s shrimp farm in Bac Lieu yielded USD 115,000, with shrimp size reaching 27 per kg, FCR at 1.27, and costs at USD 3.10 per kg. This success marks the fourth consecutive year that Mr Cong has achieved high-yield shrimp farming thanks to Grobest’s support.
Similarly, in Ca Mau, Huynh Vu Linh’s shrimp farm reported a profit of USD 50,000, with shrimp sizes ranging from 18.7-25 per kg and an average daily growth rate of 0.36-0.37, thanks to the application of the process and products of Gold Shield, Vista Eco and Lead.
Building on this impressive track record, Tran Hoang On’s Grofarm PRO model in Bac Lieu further validates the success of the Grobest solution. The first farming cycle of 2025, spanning 11 ponds, yielded 62 tons of production and generated a profit of USD 134,000. In the second season, he continued to release 5 million shrimp larvae in May and maintained effectiveness with Gold Shield and Lead.

This shows that ASC certification is not only a trend, but will become a mandatory requirement in the global value chain. As such, Grobest is ready to accompany and support farmers to convert promptly and effectively.
