Advancing Animal Nutrition: Insights from Fergus J. Neher at IPPE 2025
At IPPE 2025, NutriNews International had the chance to speak with Fergus J. Neher, General Manager EMEA at Nuproxa. In a conversation with Nicole Carletti, Fergus provided key insights into current challenges in animal nutrition and how Nuproxa is delivering innovative solutions to enhance feed efficiency.
A persistent challenge in animal nutrition is hygroscopicity, which affects product stability and storage conditions. Another issue is choline chloride’s impact on vitamin degradation, leading to concerns over storage time and nutrient retention. Fergus highlighted the importance of finding alternative solutions that maintain feed quality while ensuring optimal animal performance.
To tackle these challenges, Nuproxa has developed Natu B4, a natural and efficient replacement for choline chloride. Unlike betaine and lecithins, which serve limited metabolic roles, Natu B4 covers four essential metabolic functions, ensuring better nutrient absorption and overall health. Additionally, it can either fully replace choline chloride or be used alongside betaine to enhance remethylation processes.
The adoption of Natu B4 has increased significantly in recent years, offering a cost-effective and reliable alternative to conventional feed additives. By improving nutrient stability and feed efficiency, it supports better production outcomes, including higher-quality eggs and meat in poultry production.
With a focus on sustainable and natural feed solutions, Nuproxa continues to drive innovation in animal nutrition. As producers seek more efficient and adaptable solutions, the company encourages industry professionals to explore how Natu B4 can enhance their feed strategies.
