The Compound Livestock Feed Manufacturers Association (CLFMA) of India is holding its 59th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and 67th National Symposium at The Leela Mumbai on September 11-12, 2026.
The theme this year is ‘Animal Agriculture – The Backbone of Sustainable Development’, and the event will bring together policymakers, farmers, researchers and industry leaders from across the sector.
CLFMA started out in 1967 as The Compound Feed Manufacturers Association. Today it is the main trade body for India’s livestock industry, with members working in feed production, poultry, dairy, aquaculture, animal nutrition and veterinary services.

Day one: Awards, launches and a government address
Dr Muthukumarasamy B, Joint Secretary (National Livestock Mission) at the Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, will attend as special guest at the inaugural session, along with CLFMA’s own leadership.
The opening session will also include CLFMA’s annual awards and student awards, as well as the launch of its souvenir and survey report. A networking session follows.
Day two: What’s on the agenda
The second day is packed with keynotes and panel discussions. Topics include artificial intelligence in animal agriculture, international trade, pet food, food security, and how government and industry can work together more closely.
One panel, called ‘One Nation, One Voice’, brings together India’s major livestock and poultry associations to discuss whether the sector can advocate for policy with one unified voice instead of many separate ones.
CLFMA expects government officials, association leaders, business representatives, researchers and international experts to attend.
What CLFMA’s Chairman is saying
Chairman Divya Kumar Gulati said the livestock sector matters more than ever to India’s food security and rural economy.
He said sustained collaboration between policymakers, industry, researchers and farmers will be critical to addressing the challenges ahead, and that this year’s symposium is meant to encourage that kind of dialogue, along with innovation and policy based on evidence.
Registration and full program details are available through CLFMA’s own channels.
