Pet owners, veterinarians, and industry leaders will gather at the SMX Convention Center Manila on July 24–26, 2026 for the third edition of the International Pet Summit (IPS). This year’s theme ‘Innovating Companion Animal Health and Responsible Pet Care’, reflects the growing importance of pets in Philippine households and the industry’s push toward sustainable practices.
“The International Pet Summit aims to promote responsible pet ownership, advance companion animal health and welfare, and strengthen collaboration among stakeholders in the pet industry,” said Corazon Occidental, PVDA Foundation Inc. (PVDAF) President.
Since its first edition, IPS has grown from a national gathering into a platform that connects veterinarians, industry leaders, government agencies, welfare advocates, and pet owners.
This year’s program brings together international and local experts, scientific and business forums, product showcases, welfare discussions, and networking opportunities. Exhibitors will hand out samples, giveaways, and raffle prizes, while discussions highlight innovation and the future of companion animal health.
IPS positions itself as a catalyst for knowledge exchange and collaboration. It encourages best practices and supports policies that improve animal welfare. Dr Occidental added that the summit “helps promote best practices, encourages responsible and sustainable industry growth, and supports policies and initiatives that enhance animal welfare.”
The Philippine Veterinary Drug and Nutrition Association and the PVDAF jointly organize the summit. Visit the IPS Facebook page for more information.
